Over the past week there have been several significant announcements from Blackmagic Design:
Blackmagic Design have released a new software installer for its Multibridge, DeckLink and Intensity products that adds full support for the new Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. This new software release also includes support for the highly popular editing solution, Final Cut Studio 3.
Blackmagic Design announced the purchase of all assets of DaVinci Systems LLC. This purchase means Blackmagic Design will now offer DaVinci Resolve DI color correction systems and DaVinci Revival film restoration products for sale worldwide.
Blackmagic Design announced the HDLink Pro DisplayPort, a new model of the popular HDLink Pro monitoring converter range that allows new low cost deep color DisplayPort computer monitors to be used for SDI monitoring. HDLink Pro DisplayPort allows any supported DisplayPort monitor to be used for incredible HD-SDI monitoring.
Blackmagic Design announced the DeckLink Studio, a new model capture card designed as a replacement for standard definition cards, with increased analog connectivity for older analog equipment as well as SDI/HD-SDI and HDMI connections for the latest cutting edge digital equipment. DeckLink Studio 2 replaces current model DeckLink Studio and adds 10 bit HDMI capture and playback for the same low price.
Blackmagic Design also announced a new lower price on its popular Studio Videohub 3 Gb’s SDI router with 16 x 32 SDI routing, 16 x 16 RS-422 deck control, full SDI re-clocking all in a compact design less than 1 inch thick.
